SCAN SPORT – The club of the capital broadcast several songs of the French singer before the meeting of Champions League against the Red Star of Belgrade.

While the national tribute dedicated to Charles Aznavour will take place Friday morning at Les Invalides, the Paris SG hailed in his own way the memory of the artist died at the age of 94 on Monday. Tuesday night, before the Champions League match against the Red Star of Belgrade (6-1), several titles of the singer resounded in the Parc des Princes. “I already saw myself” or “I saw Paris” were played in an enclosure still scared filled and whose giant screens have projected images of the giant of French music.

A year ago, a tribute similar to Johnny Hallyday

This is not the first time that the leaders of the club of the capital pay homage to a French artist. Almost a year ago, the titles of Johnny Hallyday, who died on December 5, 2017, had hosted the entire evening during a league match against Lille. Pieces had been played at warm-up, at half-time and at the end of the game. For each goal listed, you could hear the chorus of the famous tube “Turn on the fire”.

A tribute more supported than for Charles Aznavour but the interpreter of “Retiens la nuit” had lived a story a bit special with the Parc des Princes, stadium in which he gave several concerts during his career. UEFA's very well-organized UEFA Champions League protocol did not allow Paris SG anyway to do more to honor the “grand Charles”.
